COLLEGE ETIQUETTE
- Every student should wear clean simple dress
- Good manners require that the students should wish the members of the staff of the college when meeting them for the first time during the day.
- Students should occupy their seats in the class room well in advance of the second bell for the commencement of the class. Perfect silence must be observed in the class room.
- When the Principal or any member of the staff enters the class room, students should stand up and remain standing till they are desired by him/her to sit, or till he/she takes his/her seat.
- Every student must behave in the class room in such a way that there is no disturbance in the class.
- No student should enter or leave the class room during class hour without the permission of the teacher.
- Students are required to spend their leisure hours in the reading room. They should not loiter on the verandah or in the college campus disturbing other class at work and office work. They should not remain near the college gate.
- Every student should handle college property with care and does everything in his/her power to preserve the cleanliness of the buildings, furniture and the college campus. The damage done to the college property will be repaired and the cost of which will be realized from the student or students causing the damage. Any willful damage is a serious offence.
- No student should smoke or chew or use alcohol in the college campus.
- No student should take part in any activity or movement which the college authorities consider undesirable for students to participate in.
- No student should participate in acts ending in discredit to the institution or impede its working either from within or from outside.
- Any student found to be indifferent or careless in his/her work and whose conduct is considered to be detrimental to the best interests of the College is liable to be punished and that may go to the extent of dismissal from the college. Good conduct, behaviour and descipline will be duly appreciated.
- Men students should not go to the Ladies Retiring Hall and talk to the women students without the permission of the head of the institution.
- During the college elections or at any other time they should not deface the walls of the class rooms in any manner.
- Students are strictly prohibited from bringing or using cell phone in the Campus.
- All the Students shall wear uniform on the prescribed days.
- Uncultured and undesirable hairstyle and wearing indecent dress will invite serious action.
ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE
- Attendance will be marked at the beginning of each class hour.
- A student who is not in the class when attendance is taken shall be marked absent.
- A student who is absent from the class during any one period of the day will be regarded as absent for half a day.
- a) A student should attend atleast 75% of the lecture and practical classes in any subject. Students should attend 75% of N.C.C. or M.S.S. classes. Then alone they can have their certificate for attendance. Without that they are not eligible to appear for University Examination.
- b) For scholarship holders 90% of attendance is compulsory.
- No student should absent himself/herself from the class without leave. His/her application for leave should be signed by his/her parent or guardian. Application for leave should be submitted before the date of leave. In the case of unavoidable circumstances the application should be submitted on the day of return after the leave.
- A student absenting himself/herself from the college for more than 15 consecutive working days without satisfactory explanation is liable to be struck off the rolls.
- Application for leave during college examination or for periods of long absence due to illness should be accompanied by a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
- No student should absent himself/herself from writing test papers, composition, exercise etc.
- No student will be admitted to the University Examination unless he/she has attended a course of instruction in the subject prescribed and has earned the necessary certificate of attendance progress and conduct.
